Friendship of Hearts

We met at church - I was new in town,

I didn’t know anyone, for miles around.

You opened your heart, and we became friends,

we forged a friendship that never would end.

As girls we laughed, and confided in each other,

things we would never tell to another.

God brought us together, as part of His plan,

our friendship of hearts always in His hands.

As we became women, we were bound to another,

for soon we became wives and mothers.

While others may come and others may go,

we’ll always be friends, this I know.

Though time passes, and we live far apart,

you’re always with me, deep in my heart.
